Practice, not perfect

We should focus on the power of practice rather than perfectionism.

You’ll have heard the term ‘practice makes perfect’ although this is rarely the case in reality. Instead, we should focus on the power of practice rather than perfectionism.

Approaching recovery with this mindset can make is much easier to process and motivate you to move towards positive change.

Many people will not make a change because they want to be able to change a behaviour that is negatively impacting their lives with a ‘perfect’ one. Making a change takes time - time to figure things out, time to learn new things, time to process.

Perfectionism is impossible - it can be liberating to know that you have the ability to live your best life without being perfect.
